Privacy Policy
Last Updated: January 19, 2026
At AstroTracking ("we", "us", or "our"), accessible from https://astrotracking.com, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by AstroTracking and how we use it.
1. Private & Secure Processing
We prioritize your privacy. The core functionality of our calculators (Astrology, Numerology, etc.) operates 100% on your device (in your browser). This means:
- We do NOT transmit your personal birth data (date, time, location) to any backend server for storage.
- Your calculations are performed locally on your device using JavaScript.
- The only data transmission that occurs is for fetching geographical coordinates (geolocation) if you use the city search feature, which interacts with the Nominatim OpenStreetMap API.
2. Information We Collect
We collect minimal information to key the website functioning:
- Local Storage: We use your browser's Local Storage to save your preferences (e.g., last entered birth city, theme settings) so you don't have to re-enter them on every visit. This data stays on your device.
- Log Files: Like most websites, we use log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. The information collected includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.
- Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are most popular, where our visitors come from, and when they visit. Google Analytics uses cookies (
_ga,_ga_*) to collect anonymized data including page views, approximate location (country/city), and visit timing. This data is sent to Google and subject to Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out via the cookie banner on your first visit or by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
3. CCPA Privacy Rights (Do Not Sell My Personal Information)
Under the CCPA, among other rights, California consumers have the right to:
- Request that a business that collects a consumer's personal data disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal data that a business has collected about consumers.
- Request that a business delete any personal data about the consumer that a business has collected.
- Request that a business that sells a consumer's personal data, not sell the consumer's personal data.
Since we do not store your personal data on our servers, we generally have no personal data to delete or sell.
4. GDPR Data Protection Rights
Since we do not store any of your data on our servers, there is no "account" for us to access, correct, or delete.
You have full control:
- Access & Deletion: Your data resides solely in your browser's local storage. You can view or delete it at any time by clearing your browser cache/cookies or using the "Clear Data" button within our tools.
- Portability: You are free to copy your data manually; we do not lock it into a proprietary format.
